Throughout your studies of the Civil War, you have heard many times of a place called Gettysburg. A place where the tide of the Civil War turned and the Union Army march onto victory.This battled claimed 51,112 lives alone consisting of 23,049 Union and 28,063 Confederate soldiers. The town is filled with history by day and ghost walks by night.
Task
Here you will take a virtual field trip of the history behind the battle of Gettysburg. You will visit the battlefields of Gettysburg and complete an assignment on a chosen site. You assignment is to visit all the battlefields and chose one campaign and analyze it more deeply. After choosing your battle site, you will research the movements of the Union and Confederate forces and write a descriptive account of the campaign. You should discuss each side's tactics/strategies, formations, generals and number of participants.
